അബൂദബി: റോഡ് സുരക്ഷ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനായി എമിറേറ്റിലെ പ്രധാന ഹൈസ്പീഡ് റോഡുകളിൽ ഡെലിവറി മോട്ടോർബൈക്കുകൾക്ക് കർശന നിരോധനം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തി. അബൂദബി സംയോജിത ഗതാഗത കേന്ദ്രം പുറത്തിറക്കിയ അറിയിപ്പിൽ, ഈ മാസം 15 മുതൽ നിയന്ത്രണം പ്രാബല്യത്തിൽ വരുമെന്ന് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

മണിക്കൂറിൽ 120 കിലോമീറ്റർ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അതിൽ കൂടുതലുള്ള വേഗപരിധിയുള്ള റോഡുകളിൽ ഡെലിവറി ബൈക്കുകൾക്ക് ഇനി പ്രവേശനം അനുവദിക്കില്ല. ശൈഖ് സായിദ് സ്ട്രീറ്റ്, ശൈഖ് സായിദ് പാലം മുതൽ ശൈഖ് സായിദ് ടണൽ വരെയുള്ള ഭാഗങ്ങൾക്കും ഈ നിയന്ത്രണം ബാധകമാകും.

റോഡുകളിൽ അപകടസാധ്യത കുറയ്ക്കുന്നതിനും യാത്രക്കാരുടെ സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനുമാണ് ഈ നീക്കം. ഇതിനുമുമ്പ് ദുബൈ, ഷാർജ, അജ്മാൻ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും ഹൈസ്പീഡ് ലൈനുകളിൽ ഇരുചക്ര വാഹനങ്ങൾക്ക് നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങൾ ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.

അതേസമയം, യു.എ.ഇ ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രാലയം പുറത്തുവിട്ട കണക്കുകൾ പ്രകാരം, പെട്ടെന്ന് ലൈൻ മാറുന്നതാണ് രാജ്യത്തെ റോഡപകടങ്ങളുടെ പ്രധാന കാരണമായി തുടരുന്നത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്ത 6014 അപകടങ്ങളിൽ ഏകദേശം ആറിലൊന്നിനും ഇതാണ് കാരണം.

പെട്ടെന്നുള്ള ലൈൻ മാറ്റം മൂലം മാത്രം 905 അപകടങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായതായി മന്ത്രാലയം വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ശ്രദ്ധക്കുറവും ക്ഷമയില്ലായ്മയും തെറ്റായ ഡ്രൈവിംഗ് രീതികളും അപകടങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇടയാക്കുന്ന പ്രധാന ഘടകങ്ങളാണെന്നും അധികൃതർ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകി.

റോഡ് സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കാൻ നിയമങ്ങൾ കർശനമായി പാലിക്കണമെന്നും, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഉയർന്ന വേഗതയുള്ള റോഡുകളിൽ കൂടുതൽ ജാഗ്രത പുലർത്തണമെന്നും അധികൃതർ പൊതുജനങ്ങളോട് അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചു.
